Choosing the Right Air Conditioning System for Your Needs

Many factors will contribute to which air conditioning system and equipment is the right solution in creating the ideal climate, here are some things to take into consideration –

Choosing the Right Air Conditioning System

How do you want to control your indoor climate? Do you want cooling/heating or cooling only? These are important requirements which will determine the type of system is suitable for you.

What level of filtration do you require?
Air conditioning units remove dust particles from the air depending on what level of filtration is available from different air conditioning systems.

What capacity of air conditioning system do I require?
The capacity required will be worked out by one of our experience engineers who will take a number of factors into consideration, ie, the overall size of the space to be conditioned, number of occupants, heat omitting equipment such as computers, printers, lighting etc. This is an important part to get right as an air conditioning system with too big a capacity will lead to high energy costs, heavy draught and varying temperatures, too low and the desired comfort levels will not be reached.

Where will the outdoor unit go?
The outdoor air conditioning unit needs to ideally be located somewhere easily accessible so it can be maintained.

How many rooms/spaces need to be catered for?
The amount of rooms that need to be conditioned will have an effect on the type of air conditioning system that will be required.

Sensible Air Solutions install, service and maintain commercial air conditioning systems for a number of  applications such as:-

Office Space

Creating a comfortable and healthy working environment within an office is often down to ambient temperature which is something that can be achieved with the right office air conditioning system.  By providing the right working conditions it has been shown that this will increase success and productivity.
Most employers within the UK are now aware that they are legally obliged to provide ‘reasonable’ temperatures in the workplace.

Server Rooms

Server rooms are usually in operation 24 hours a day 365 days a year, which means that servers and other related equipment will be constantly churning out heat and energy. Heat loss from these units can be as much as 45-50% which means that keeping these units ventilated and conditioned is not just a necessity but critical. Without the right air conditioning and ventilation for these units it can lead to poor performance, periodic reboots or even systems crashes creating periods of down time which can be detrimental to the business and services they provide.

Shops and Retail Outlets

The benefits of having your shop or retail outlet air conditioned can have a big input to your bottom line. By keeping the shop warm in the winter and cool in the summer customers are more likely to spend time in your store, thus spending more money. Creating the right environment for your customers to browse in an your staff to work in can also help towards reducing your energy emissions  as a business as most air conditioning units are now designed to meet current energy efficiency ratings.
